Gypsy Star: Calendar

A good crowd for both shows despite the the heavy rains on this Sunday.

Once again, we had lots of fun playing to another great audience. Thanks to all.

We had a great time playing to a very enthusiastic audience last night.  Thanks to everyone who came out to see us and to the whole staff at Pape Kibo's.

Gypsy Star was proud to be part of this important cause. The evening’s proceedings raised $30,000.00 for the victim’s of Haiti’s devastating earthquake.

We had a great time performing on the main stage at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Two songs made there debut at this show: "Fall At Your Feet" featuring Billy and Belinda on vocals and an original song by Steve Boisen entitled "You Can Walk Me Home".

Unfortunately this show was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Gypsy Star's second performance at the Cafe Party was also a success on breezy but nice evening. Also, we would like to give a special thanks to the fans that gave us ticktes to the "sold out" Steely Dan concert. It was much appreciated and enjoyed.

We appreciate all the compliments and positive feedback we received after our Ruth Eckerd Hall debut. We'll be able to fulfill those requests for our CD soon.

Gypsy Star went over so well that they even moved the new cars that were on dispaly in front of the stage.

We were pleased to see so many of our musical friends join us at The Zone including guitarist Dave Eichenberger, pianist Dan O'Hara and vocalist Terry "TC" Chisholm.

"Smooth Operator" was complimented by Marilyn's fully-functional saxophone and Belinda sang her favorite Christmas song "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". Can you believe how light Steve's new speaker cabinet is?

Gypsy Star performed on The Zone's outdoor stage this time. Two new songs were debuted tonight: "Concrete and Clay" by Unit 4+2 (performed on two acoustic guitars and percussion) and "Sign Your Name" by Terence Trent D'Arby. Sade's "Smooth Operator" had to be put on hold due to a saxophone malfunction.

We had a great time at our debut performance at The Zone. Also making it's debut was our new banner. Special thanks to Peter Grace for spreading the word about Gypsy Star.

On this unseasonably warm October evening Gypsy Star performed a set of mostly original material to an enthusiastic crowd.

This was Gypsy Star's first performance at this venue.

Gypsy Star perfomed two new songs this evening: "Crazy On You" by Heart and "Dancing Days" by Led Zeppelin(!). Also making it's debut tonight was Steve Brodsky's new snare drum...a tantalizing preview of his new DW drum set.

Gypsy Star performed two new songs this evening: "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac and a new composition by Steve Boisen entitled "La Canción Del Amor".

Special thanks to bassist John DeBellis of the Vodkanauts who filled in for Steve Boisen this evening.
